Puppy Testing Secrets Revealed!

Mission:  To select a perfect pet for a very busy family with a bunch of rowdy kids.

                        RESULTS

Drive: Both pups like to play.  Betty is the more driven of the two.

Environmental Stability:  Notice that Bunny was in the tunnel while Betty backed up and barked.

Startle Test:  Betty runs to the sound.  Bunny startles and then continues doing what she is doing.

Flying Puppy:  Both pups were found to be good flyers.

Sociability:  When the breeder was embarrassed Bunny was the first pup to come to her aid showing a early sense of empathy.  Just kidding but that is the type of crap that sells books....hmmm

Pre Eliminatory Behavior:  Watch as the pups head toward the door when they feel the urge.  Good pups make life easy.

So who did you pick?  Bunny, she shows the traits that I believe will make her the most successful pup in the house of my clients.   Not that Betty isn’t cool too, but she shows a little more drive and the reactivity that usually comes with that kind of energy.

Testing 6 week old Boston Terrier pups, and a little fun at the breeders expense!

Right:  Early learning is critical to developing a healthy, happy pup.  Here Francis reads “A Playful Little Dog”  to a 4 week Boston Pup.  Because of this reading session this dog actually turned into a playful little dog.  Isn’t nurture amazing...

Left:  Francis wrangles Mosh (the father of the pups) for a Budwiesser commercial.
