Despite what most people would like to believe, most dogs will not protect their owners without training.

We evaluate protection in three stages

1. 1)DETER:  Is your breed/ particular dog a good deterrent of crime.  Will his physical appearance deter a criminal from entering your house.  Mostly just having a dog in the house will deter a criminal, if they know he is there.
   

2. 2)DETECT: Will your dog detect the sound of a break in.  Will he bark and put up a threat display.  Many dogs will do this without training.
   

3. 3)DEFEND: This is where most untrained dogs fail.  Will your dog take hold of the bad guy in a manner that will stop his advances and prevent further attack on his owner.  Most people do not need this level of protection, it is a liability.  If your dog shows to be able to defend without training you should immediately start a training and management program to make sure you have your dog under control at all times.
   

IMPORTANT!  We offer this service this because many people want to know if their dog will actually defend.  If we see that this evaluation is too stressful for your particular dog we will stop immediately. We refuse to harm any dogs or cause any damage to their temperaments.  Continuation of the evaluation is up to the trainer.  Some breeds and individuals are not suited to this type of work. Your dog must be over 2.5 years of age to qualify for an evaluation.
